RE: HCLA In Studio.
Dear HCLA Students/Parents:
With expanded access to vaccinations, and a hopeful outlook from the country’s experts, Hussian College, Los Angeles has begun taking steps toward a safe return to in-person learning at our LA Center Studios campus for the Fall 2021 semester. Our leadership team is actively strategizing and will announce specific rollout plans in the coming months.
Protecting the health and safety of students, faculty and staff is the guiding principle of our return to campus plans. We will monitor public health guidelines from the CDC, local, county and state departments of health, and implement strategies based on those recommendations. We will continue to provide clear instructions and expectations for staff, faculty, and students.
In the meantime, instruction for the current semester will continue virtually through the second course module. We thank you for your hard work and resilience and encourage you to continue focusing on your coursework so that we may successfully transition to the Fall 2021 semester with as little disruption to your college experience as possible! If all continues to improve, and local health department guidance permit, we intend to provide access to InStudio facilities and equipment during the summer. We will announce booking strategies soon; in the meantime, feel free to brainstorm with your Program Mentors and Chairs on how that access can benefit your creative work
We hope you are as excited as we are to transition back to our one-of-a-kind home. Our Fall semester may not quite look or feel identical to semesters past, but we have every confidence in this student body’s ability to adapt and support one another. In fact, the new freshmen class, who just graduated high school virtually, and may need extra kindness and hospitality from us all. We have no doubt in your ability to thrive despite unfamiliar circumstances. You’ve certainly proven that this year.
We are proud of you. Stay tuned for more detailed information!
