Dear HCLA Students/Parents:
With expanded access to vaccinations, and a hopeful outlook from the country’s experts, Hussian College, Los Angeles is preparing for your safe return to in-person learning at our LA Center Studios campus for our Fall 2021 semester. Our leadership team is actively strategizing and will continue to update our rollout plans for the coming term.
Protecting the health and safety of students, faculty, and staff is the guiding principle of our return to campus plans. With the Delta variant creating a rapidly changing environment, we are actively monitoring public health agency requirements and guidelines from the CDC, local, county, and state departments of health, and stand ready to implement responsible and compliant measures for campus activities, instruction, and general interaction. As and if campus rules and expectations change, staff, faculty, and students must be prepared to adapt to protect the health and safety of the HCLA community.
At this time, HCLA is not requiring proof of vaccination in order for staff, faculty, and students to attend campus in person. HCLA is encouraging all members of its community to get vaccinated to lower the risk of COVID spread. All students attending HCLA on-campus must sign an assumption of the risk and waiver prior to attending class.
We hope you are as excited as we are to transition back to our one-of-a-kind home. Our Fall semester may not quite look or feel identical to semesters past, but we have every confidence in this student body’s ability to adapt and support one another. In fact, the new freshmen class, who just graduated high school virtually, may need extra kindness and hospitality from us all. We have no doubt in your ability to thrive despite unfamiliar circumstances. You’ve certainly proven that this year.
