Christopher Vogler has been the most influential teacher of myth to storytellers since he wrote The Writers Journey, which the Hussian chair of General Education describes, in the opening pages of his 25th Anniversary Edition, as “a fixture among canonical master works on the duet between myth and story. A must read for storytellers and scholars of all kinds … a Trojan Horse of industry leading lessons that unlocks a door to myth—if not meaning.”

Vogler worked as a story consultant in the departments of 20th century Fox, Paramount, and Walt Disney, where he contributed to Aladdin and The Lion King. He then developed stories for 101 Dalmatians, Fight Club, Courage Under Fire, Volcano and The Thin Red Line after publishing his landmark work.
